On May 5th progress reports for the last nine weeks will go home. On May 6th, Mrs. Arnold is sponsoring a Yearbook signing party. All participants must have a purchased yearbook to attend. May 7th finds our Math stars attending the county math tournament in Palatka. Good luck Cougars! May 7th is also the last day for tutoring this year at MIS. The incoming Browning Pierce 6th graders will also visit MIS on May 7th. On May 8th the 6th graders will visit the high school for an orientation. 5th graders are also taking a field trip on the 8th to Deland. Last but certainly not least, on May 28th and 29th, Coach Bergman will be sponsoring the MIS Olympics. This will be his third year hosting this event which is anticipated by students and teachers alike. Each class represents a country to compete in various athletic events. Many classes show their enthusiasm by studying their country and even showing up in native attire carrying banners representing their country. Theme music is played to the announcement of each country as they file in to the arena. It’s a day of good fun and sportsmanship. Our year is qickly drawing to a close so keep checking back to keep posted on all of our end of the year activities and events. As always, let the strength of the Cougar be in you!
