Levi’s Vintage Clothing 501XX 1966 Model
Having been the subject of various collaborative efforts which follow a similar style to what is seen here, Levis Vintage Clothing takes matter into their own hands with the creation of “The Journey” and “The Ragged Point” 501XX 1966. The denim as the name suggests for “The Journey”, is a well-worn pair of denim with a number of rips, stains and tears alongside custom patches. “The Ragged Point” is on a similar concept with strong wear on the lap in addition to paint splatter. These are not the most organic and authentic offerings from LVC with most people accustomed to their raw offerings, but something fans of well-worn and distressed denim will appreciate. Available now at Levis Japan.
Nike “Year of the Ox” Blazer Mid Premium
January 26, 2009 until February 14, 2010 will be when the Ox takes charge of the zodiac calender. Like every other year in the past where Nike has created a “pack” to commemorate the specific zodiac of that year, Nike has continued the tradition this year to create the Year of the Ox pack. We have already covered the Air Max 1 included in this pack and now here’s a look at the second shoe in this collection, the “Year of the Ox” Blazer Mid Premium. The Air Max 1 as well as the Blazer’s will be available soon
ORIGINAL FAKE - CHOMPER HOODIE
The ORIGINAL FAKE Autumn/Winter 2008 collection continues to deliver strong cut and sew pieces that other brands can’t. Between the signature KAWS’ graphics and the premium craftsmanship on each cut and sew piece, it’s no wonder the OriginalFake line has done so well this season all over the world. This newest piece is a Chompter Hoodie featuring KAWS’ signature “X” across the chest and the signature “Chompers” down the side of the hoodie. You can pick this Chomper Hoodie up in the near future at select OriginalFake retailers.
Logan Hicks is known for his intricately detailed stencils on subject matter as far reaching as building facades to busy intersections filled with people. His pieces are tremendous and awe-inspiring, especially when you consider the tedious process of creating stencils. Logan got his start as a screen printer, and the concept of layering in screen printing led him to create his first stencils. Learn more about how he got his start, and see him at work in the following video interview from The Run Up.
