I still can’t believe it
Sometimes I still can’t believe it.
I still can’t believe that we’re having a little girl. It kind of hits me in waves. I’m just sitting there reading and in my mind pops, “you’re going to have a girl!” It’s so cool.
However, I am suddenly realizing that for almost twelve years, I’ve been learning how to parent boys. Now I have to start all over again.
Some things I’m committed to doing for my little girl:
1) Tell her every night how beautiful she is
2) Sing to her Jesus Loves Me every night when I tuck her in, like I did with my boys
3) Encourage her to always listen to the voice of Jesus
4) Tell her about how life is hard sometimes, but faithfulness wins in the end
5) Tell her that boys are dangerous and she shouldn’t date till she’s 40
6) Always love her mom forever and ever
7) Admit my mistakes along the way
8) Hold her when she hurts
9) Fight for her when necessary
10) Never stop telling her about the love of Jesus
