Also known as Cope’s Gopher Snake or Pituophis lineaticollis lineaticollis. This is easily the project I’m most excited about. I acquired this trio of adults in 2006, and they have produce some nice babies for me two years in a row. These are native to the high elevations of Mexico and require a cooler, more temperate climate- they thrive at room temperature! They can reach lengths of up to eight feet and are truly impressive snakes.
