My name is Michel Oosterhout and I’m the creator and editor of ‘an apple a day.nl’. I currently live in The Netherlands near Amersfoort where I work at an advertising agency/ signmaking company. This project is the follow up of a project I did in 2008 with Stefan; we decided to buy an apple and draw this 100 days in a row, the same apple for 100 days in 1 sketchbook (Inspired by Sharon Creech book ‘Heartbeat’) It was fun watching the apple age in the sketch book. After this project I thought it would be nice to see how other artists would draw or paint apples, and somehow make a collection of this. Well, here it is; the new project started on July 1, 2011, let’s see how many apples we can catch...
