Light small markings, not forming definite pattern.
Light spots (Olive to yellowish brown) are highly Irregular random in shape and area.
Extend down on sides with dorsal ground color dull black to dark brown.
Belly can be yellow-olive marbled with darker pigment.
A early spring breeder, takes place in deeper water compaired to other mole salamanders.
Larvae are often found in small ponds fishless ponds.
