I am so grateful for...

An "Attitude of Gratitude"!  (Thanks to a quote from "The Secret")

"What do I do now?" you may ask.  Simple:  If you want to receive the "Weekly Gratitude",  just email me back and say "YES!" If you do not, it is not necessary to send me an email explanation.  I will know your answer if I have not heard from you.  You have to do nothing after your initial email accepting the "Weekly Gratitude".   However, If at any time you no longer want to receive a "Weekly Gratitude", please email me to Opt-out.  (michellem@michellemoquin.com) No explanation is necessary.  The last thing I want to do is add more to your junk mail.
I am so inspired by this and looking forward to it - I hope that you are too!    Expect your first "Weekly Gratitude"  on Monday March 19th, 2007. Thank you!

...And from this letter, “Weekly Gratitude” was started.

The "Weekly Gratitude” has since changed but the initial concept is still going strong. I no longer do it ever week, but I did add more people as they inquired. However, it is sent more spontaneously and the receiver never knows when it is coming so it is a bit of a surprise! Everyone still loves it! Unfortunately and sadly, I can not add any more people to my list. However read on....
Want to possess an “Attitude of Gratitude”?

I have received so many unexpected response every week, and some of you have been inspired to start your own “Gratitude”. Many of you have asked, “How do I do something like this?”
Want to “pay it forward” and keep it simple? Here are a few suggestions:

*Every day write in a “Gratitude Journal”. This is a great way to have an “Attitude of Gratitude” on a daily basis. I write in my gratitude Journal every morning and it is a wonderful way to start my day. I write down at least 5 things that I am grateful for. I write down what I appreciate in people, myself (very important), the things that I possess, and even the things that we take for granted, like the air we breathe and hot showers! I also keep a notebook in my car with me always. If I start to feel down or negative about anything, I pull out my journal, (first I pull over!) and I jot down a few things that I am grateful for. Writing gratitude is an instant uplifter. Happiness is a choice. And if you can uplift yourself by being grateful for all that you are and all that you have, you will be uplifting to others. This is a wonderful and easy way to “pay it forward!”

*My intentions are that my spontaneous “Gratitude” emails will “pay it forward” in the form of YOU sending out spontaneous “Gratitudes” to your friends and family. When you feel grateful about someone, tell that person in your life. From my experience, they will so appreciate it, and you will get so much joy from telling them. You can use my guidelines if you choose or write your own. If you want help on this email me! Because many have voiced how inspired and happy this makes them feel, I wanted to inspire you to uplift others in your life the same way.

Who knows who will be inspired to do the same and what effect you will have, and so on...and so on...

One morning while I was checking my emails I had an epiphany and the following letter was born...

Dear Friends & Family:

Good morning!  I was writing in my Gratitude Journal this morning and I thought how nice it would be to send my husband Doug an email of appreciation to him.  I thought that he would enjoy this.  Then I had an epiphany!   I know I would enjoy this, and I know Doug would.....maybe some of my friends & family would too!

I am starting off with a small list of people, but who knows how large it will grow?!  So, if you are getting this email, you are on my list to receive a "Weekly Gratitude"  from me.  This is not something that will be sent automatically, this is something that I will personally write, that I authentically feel and appreciate about just YOU.  It will be easy to read; maybe just a sentence or a short paragraph.  It may be something deep or it may be light-hearted; it all depends on what I am grateful for that day in regards to YOU.

I am planning on sending them either Sunday night or Monday so that you will have it Monday to read and to start off your week.   No response to the "Weekly Gratitude" is necessary unless you feel like it.  I do not want to be another email that you have to answer.  This is just for YOU.

I send “Gratitude” to many of you! Read what some of you have to say... THE
