Giving and Sharing

Causes that I support philanthropically, and others that I am interested in.
These are just some of the groups that I have chosen to support, as well as cool people doing great things....

If you are interested in helping dogs, you can give directly to the group of your choice above. I've decided that since I now have all of this free time, I can devote a bit of it to causes that I have always wanted to be a part of. I know that I can not make a big difference alone so I am going to use my time to get as many people involved as I can.

I am including a list of causes that I am immediately interested in; if you have others that you would like to suggest please feel free to blog me at http://web.mac.com/michellemoquin/iWeb/Site/Blog/Blog.html about them. My only suggestion is to limit them to causes that have no say in what happens to them.

Animals can not vote hence they are at the mercy of mankind. So I will leave the political issues of humanity to those who can effect a change via the vote and work to help those wonderful creatures who for the lack of political connections have to fend for themselves in a sometimes cruel world.

As I said I can't do it alone. So I'm asking those of you who are interested to help in any way you can. If you can only donate time, I'll take that. If you can only donate money, I'll take that. If you can donate time and money, I'd love that.

I'm just saying let's do something to help the people, animals, and environment of this planet that can do nothing but hope for the generosity and commonsense of the humans on it.

I have always wished that there was someone I could trust who had the time to really get involved in things that I was interested in and to keep me informed because at the time all I could do was donate money. I was just too busy to give them any time. I wouldn't mind giving the money if I could feel that I was making a difference. Communication was what I needed to feel I was doing my part. So now I have the time and I love to write. If any of you feel or have felt the same way I did back then, this is the time to do what you can for the person who has the time to get involved - that would be me.

Your time or money will not be deductible; I am not a charity. So if you are looking for a tax write off, this won't be it. But if you are looking to give something back and to be involved in worthy causes, this is it. You only have to decide how you will be involved. The choices are simple: will it be time, money, or time and money? For me it will be time and money because I have the time and for now it will have to be my money. I tend to like it better that way because I have to answer to know one on how I spend it.

I have only one rule. THIS IS IT: If you decide to give me your time, you have to agree that I decide how you will use the minutes or hours you give to me. I intend to do my research before I tackle a project because I want to make a difference in the lives of the people, animals or part of the environment that I choose to get involved in. I want my or our efforts to mean something. My experience in design has taught me that without a plan all you have is an idea that may or may not get realized. This same rule applies for all donations; money or time. I will decide how best to use them. Your comments and suggestions will always be welcomed of course. If you can trust me to be your leader in these causes then welcome aboard. I like to work hard and play hard. We will party to celebrate our successes. And I intend to be successful!

SHALL WE MAKE IT A PARTY OF 1 OR 1,000. Come grab some cool friends and let's help those and things that can not help themselves.
