Okay well it is getting down to the wire...the blog is moving in 3 days. It seems that some of you are having some concerns over this move. I wish that more of you readers would blog me your concerns so that I can address all of them, but since you aren’t speaking up, I can only address those issues that I am aware of. Hopefully by bringing this to the forefront, questions will be answered and we will all feel great about the move.
First, thank you HOWIE for bringing up the commenting issue of having to submit your name and email address to post a comment on the new website. I am grateful for your discovery before the big day so that I can correct it. Let me clarify this.
When you comment on the new site, you will be asked 3 things:
-
❖Your Name: You may put in your real name, your nickname, anonymous or anything else you want to call yourself.
-
❖Email address: You can leave this blank or put in your email address (If you put in your email address I will be the only one who will see it. It will not be posted near your comment)
-
❖Website address: You can leave this blank or put in your website address (If you put in your website address, it will not show up but your name will be a hyperlink to your site.)
I hope that this is clear and you are no longer baffled. Your anonymity, as well as CARR’s, is respected and safe. Is there anything else that baffles you? Oh...Also, HOWIE, you had mentioned two days ago that my blog will be morphing in a big way on February 4th. Can you clarify what you mean by that? I don’t see this as a big change but apparently you do and I would like to know why so that I may put you at ease if you are not. I understand about change...you get used to one way...I ge that way too sometimes. But I assure you that after a short time, you will not miss this blog and the new one will be like an old friend - at least I hope and I intend to make it that way!
Tracey: You brought up a concern in regards to the new blog of not being able to see just the first paragraph or so of the last 8 blogs as you see here on my front blog page. Yes, I do like that about iweb too. So far I have not been able to rectify that issue. On the plus side though, I like that on the first page of the new blog, I can scroll down and see 6 of the most recent articles all at once. If I want to, I could easily read the first paragraph of each without having to click onto another page. As far as reading the entire article, I like that one can easily read in sequence on the same page before going to any archives if one needs to catch up on a few days or more. See what you think once we move over and keep me posted on your thoughts.
Please Readers: I am open to hearing any comments and suggestions, or problems that may occur with the new blog site. It is new to me too but so far I like it. I am hoping that you will too...As the new week starts I will bring this up and ask again if everything is to everyone’s liking. Changes can be made if not. Although I started this blog, I consider it everyone’s blog because without the clever conversation and bold badinage from my loyal readers, it would not be as fun or as interesting...Quite frankly, it would just be a boring blog and anyone who knows me, knows that boring does not play any part in my cache of attributes. I want it to be successful for EVERYONE! Are you all with me?!
Adam: No worries. My blog is here to assist in whatever arises. In regards to Family vs Civilian. Simply put, a civilian is anyone that is not military, meaning in the armed forces or the police force. Family is a group of people that are related through flesh and blood or marriage, meaning parents to children etc. either by being blood related or becoming part of a family through marriage. Let me know if this is clear or not. I’m sure others will give their definitions too.
Hey Zmiv: Thanks for the update on Azza - Happy she is free finally - looking forward to hearing from both of you!
Don’t forget I’m moving my blog to another host starting Monday February 4th!
See you there!
