Earthly matters

T: Thank you for the name of the florist - sounds like a good one! I love exotic flowers and I am familiar with the pineapple looking ones. Yes, they do last a lot longer! I also like the Protea flowers - they too last forever and you can hardly tell the difference between when they are fresh and when they dry out. I did go back and visit The Meadow and sadly they had just sold the last 4 Anthuriums. Patrick who was working there, in what seemed like an authoritative position, said that the flower was dehydrated and showed me the bottom of the stem which was dried out and brown, therefore not allowing the flower to "drink". He cut off the very bottom of the stem and showed me the pretty green area that would allow water through, as he told me that it should've been cut. I didn't say anything but I thought, "Well that would've been good to tell me when I bought the flower." I knew about cutting stems but I did not know about the color change in stems affecting the hydration system. Now I know. Patrick then dunked the flower in a barrel of water, burying the entire thing and left it there saying that it would probably revive, but I made no move to say that I would take it back; I wanted a fresh flower. He then informed me that he would have more on Wednesday. I said, "Great. See you then!", thanked him, and walked away.

Tao: Thanks too for your advice on the flowers. I am aware of cutting the stems under water and changing the water frequently but I am not aware of this concoction that you mentioned. I have been told that a little sugar is good but I am not familiar with mixing it with Miracle Grow and Bleach. Can you tell me me the exact amounts of each? I am sure my readers would appreciate this knowledge, as well as understanding the relationship that light plays on the mixture! Please share this exciting information - Thank you.
I've been thinking about this Earthquake, and I am having second thoughts. You may not be familiar with our Richter Scale, and I don't want anything drastic to happen to my neighborhood, let alone the planet. Do you know what a Richter Scale is? If so do you know what a 4.5 is on a Richter Scale? If not, before we move forward with this little quake, we need to talk. And as I am writing this, I have come up with a better idea....I don't want to be responsible for an act that can hurt other people, so let's think of something else to play with. And for the future, when ever you are going to demonstrate to someone your capabilities please be sure that the demo only effects that individual. Also in regards to bloggers conversing back and forth to each other, I hope that I answered your question on November 25th clearly. Your question was, "Or should I be asking Michelle this?" And the answer is "Yes".
