Watching Michael’s computer video tutorials is exactly like looking over his shoulder while he works. These computer CD’s show the computer screen as he works, while he explains and shows you exactly what he is doing and why.
These lessons in the form of Quicktime movies which are distributed on CDs so you can learn Michael’s techniques at a fraction of the cost and expense of attending a workshop, learn at your own pace and repeat the lesson as many times as you wish on your own computer.
The tutorials move from the most basic instructions to the highly advanced. Since this is an ongoing educational project, we will continue to release new CD’s with new techniques, as time goes on.

.......” I have been buying and upgrading Painter since version 3! Never have I gotten a painting to the point that I would show it to anybody — until this modest, first finished painting! I am proud, but it is Michael that took me there! I have been encouraging him, no, begging him — actually bribing him (I remade his entire web site — if he would teach me how to work with Painter)
So I have been reviewing these tutorials that he is working on, they are fantastic, by the way. After watching the first one, I thought "I think I can do that! So this is the result. Very simple painting, but a really hig achievement for me. I watch a 30 minute video tutorial by Michael, and make this painting (took me an hour) the best I have done before is several hours then delete the mess!
So today I watched his second tutorial — it is much more complex, multiple image background, plus impressionistic painting to create a really beautiful painting. I THINK I CAN DO THIS TOO!
Michael is an incredible photographer, an awesome painter, and a remarkable teacher. His tutorials are short, to the point, tell exactly what you need to do. He speaks clearly, explains everything in detail, and doesn't put you to sleep.
I think my pushing to get him to do these tutorials may be a really big service I render to the photography community. We are not quite ready to release them, but will have two ready in a few days. We will announce them on his web site: http://michaelcampbellphotographics.com
I am thrilled with my progress after watching the first video tutorial. Tomorrow I will try the background switching in the second one, not sure what he has up his sleeve on the third one.
Michael is an artist and a teacher. I am a businessman/photographer, I believe that digital paintings of our portraits, printed in large sizes on art papers and canvas will take our wall portrait business to a new level. We intend to market these at higher prices, and only in large sizes, elegantly presented in beautiful mattes and expensive frames. I know they will sell.”
