This summer I am teaching one section of Introduction To Media Writing (Jrn. 201)  while researching original source material related to Whitelaw Reid’s Civil War correspondence. In the fall, once again, I will teach a capstone titled Media and the Military.

I am thrilled to serve as faculty advisor to Kappa Phi, a Christian women’s organization whose members have served Oxford -- and some of the world’s poorest communities from Latin America to Africa -- for more than half a century. In my role as fundraiser for both Kappa Phi and the Reid-Heckler Scholarship, I sell homemade chocolates through Kofenya Coffee Shop in uptown Oxford, as well as customized embroidered gifts.
