Help Save Brooks Memorial Fountain

The Brooks Memorial Fountain has been a fixture in our community since it’s dedication in 1930.  It stands in the center of our town and welcomes visitors each and every day.  Fountain circle is a favorite place for people to sit on a warm summer evening and marvel at its majestic 30 foot high water sprays and colored light show consisting of 96 combinations.  This very important symbol of Marshall’s past is in danger.  It is in need of over $200,000 of repairs to its mechanical systems and exterior facade.   In 1976 the town faced a similar problem.  The fountain was in desperate need of repair and the town came together and raised the needed funds.  The Fountain was re-dedicated on July 4, 1976 just in time for the bicentennial celebration.  We have reached a time in our history again where help is needed.  A time for the community to come together and preserve this icon of Marshall.  A fundraising campaign will be lead by myself and Feef Dillon (Harold Brook’s granddaughter).  If you are interested in helping to preserve this piece of history, please email me by clicking on the “Email” link below or visit www.givetothefountaintoday.org.  Thank you!!
