WELCOME This website is dedicated to my daughters, Emily and Melissa. Music is an integral part of our family life and for years we have had a video collection of the girls participating in a number of music events. My hope is that throughout their lives they will continue to enjoy music in any form. I have never taken the time until this course to actually put together a chronicle of Emily and Melissa’s musical experiences. Unfortunately, except for one clip the music videos start at a later age for Emily as I ran into a number of technical difficulties with older video. I have been able to create three vignettes by downloading numerous video clips and editing them with iMovie. It has been a very emotional experience as time has definitely marched on. I had forgotten how they sounded and even looked until doing this project. Wonderful memories were remembered with laughter and tears. I am thankful to be able to create something that my family can keep and update as the girls continue to develop and grow in music. Doing this project has given me the opportunity to learn the basic skills involved in creating a movie, and I would love to start using these skills with students - in the classroom or as an extra-curricular activity.
