Dear Parents,
Beginning September 2009 Banner Preschool will begin its 32nd year in the Wilmette community. Banner families have continued to be supportive, enthusiastic, and devoted to our early childhood program and principles. We cherish the partnerships built with you and look forward to meeting new families and welcoming them to the Banner community. We are now beginning our registration for the forthcoming school year. To help us determine the number of openings we can anticipate, please complete the registration form and return it by December 5, 2009. Priority families are guaranteed a place in the morning or afternoon programs. A priority family includes first, children returning from this school year and their siblings and secondly, former Banner families. Your child’s placement will be posted in the Banner hallway after January 5, 2009. New families will be notified by telephone during the week of January 5.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Mail-in registration forms or place in our Black Mailbox
1. A non-refundable $200.00 application fee will accompany each registration form for returning families and a non-refundable $225.00 fee for new families. $100.00 will be applied to the last tuition payment. A separate form and fee must be completed for each child to be enrolled.
2. In the instance that the number of new applicants exceeds the number of available spaces in given program, admission to that program will be subject to a lottery.
3. New families will be notified the week of January 5, 2009 of their admittance into the program. The application fee will be returned only to families whose children have been placed on the waiting list and who have not been placed in a p.m. or a.m. session for the 2009-2010 school year.
4. If necessary, a lottery will take place on January 15 for returning children in our four-year-old session, to determine morning or afternoon placement. Priority will be given only to families with children in the 2 ½ a.m. class and the 4-year old class simultaneously.
5. The application/s enclosed may be used for siblings or may be duplicated. This includes Kindergarten Enrichment, our 2 ½ year old a.m. sessions and/or our 3 and 4 year old morning or afternoon sessions. A separate form and registration fee for each child is required.
