I am an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. In addition, I serve as Registered Research Member of the Down Syndrome Research Foundation, Burnaby BC, and am appointed as the Action Editor for Down Syndrome Quarterly. My primary research interests involve understanding the neural mechanisms regulating goal-directed movements such as reaching and grasping. Current work is examining multisensory interactions between visual and proprioception information in target localization. I am also interested in issues related to cerebral laterality and movement dysfunction arising from neurodegenerative disease and genetic disorders. Techniques used in my lab include 3D optoelectronic motion analysis, 2D eye tracking, muscle tendon vibration, electromyography, electroencephalography and magnetoencephalography.
