A Season of Podcasts
Last year, I did a coach’s journal for our 2006 season of the St. Louis Diamond Baseball Club . The journal started with our first practices in January and carried over to the USSSA World Series event at the end of July, and then beyond into fall baseball. Click here for a link to the St. Louis Diamond Coach’s journal.
This year, I decided to publish a series of Podcasts throughout the season, starting in November. These podcasts will be targeted at select baseball coaches. My goal is to provide information and advice that can help other select coaches develop better baseball players and have a more positive impact on young men through baseball.
There are a lot of websites, books and dvd’s available for coaches to explore and learn from. But, there is just not enough time in the day to get it done. It is my hope that this podcast can help point you in the right direction. Each episode of this podcast will be about 20-30 minutes long, so you can easily listen to it while you commute to work, work out, our drive to practice and games.
The episodes will follow the course of the season. There will be a new episode every two weeks. Each episode will cover two topics in detail - one topic related to very baseball specific issues, and the a second topic related to front office roles, teaching the mental side of the game, and teaching important life lessons through baseball.
The following is a rough outline of the topics that will cover during each stage of the season.
