Deposit. All bookings require 50% in advance to confirm and reserve time. Balance due upon completion of session unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to future bookings if cancellation occurs in accordance with the provisions noted below.

Cancellation. Client will be billed for all time booked, unless cancelled or rescheduled as follows: For bookings of one day or less, notice of cancellation must be received not less than seventy-two hours prior to start time. For bookings of two or more days, fourteen-days notice is required. This will allow us sufficient time to rebook the studio with another client. Cancellation fees may also apply to any extras or equipment rentals specific to the session, including musicians, producers, engineers and special services such as piano tuning and catering.

Billing. Commences from the booked start time regardless of whether client has arrived or not. Payment is due in-full upon completion of the session, unless prior acceptable arrangements have been made. Clients will be fully credited for any delay or down-time for which Metronome is responsible. All unpaid balances subject to 24% annual interest charges.

Media. All media (Computer audio files, hard drives, CD’s and tapes) remain the property of Metronome until all bills have been paid in-full. No media or copies thereof will be released until payment is received or acceptable payment arrangements have been made. It is the responsibility of the client to take all media related to its work from the studio upon completion. Media left at the studio by the client is done so its sole risk. Metronome is not responsible for the care and/or custody of any media left by the client upon completion of a session. We will not store or save your media or any copies.

The Studio is generally booked on an hourly, daily or lock-out basis, as defined below. We will also consider work on a “project” basis for a fixed price. All bookings are subject to the payment Policies noted below.

Staff Engineer. The studio can be booked with or without us providing an engineer. Many sessions bring their own technical people, which is completely fine with us. Obviously, lower rates would apply. It assumed that if you book without the need of one of our staff engineers, that your engineer is knowledgeable and qualified to work in our facility. Minimal assistance will available in such situations.

Hourly. Minimum two-hour booking is required for any tracking or mixing session. A one-hour minimum is required for bookings for tape/CD copy and/or editing.

One Day. Defined as eight full hours, with no guarantee of additional hours. If the session runs longer than eight hours, overtime will be charged at the hourly rate. Break time is not included in computation of time used during a session.

Lockout. This type of booking is the best, most economical choice when several days or studio time are required. You have exclusive use of the studio and gear – no one else will use the facility during your booked time, even if you are not there. In this situation the artist/engineer does not have to break down the studio or the settings on the console and equipment. Therefore, it provides the most efficient manner in which to use time at the studio. Once underway, you can then record/mix uninterrupted for however many days you are booked without the need to re-set-up each day.

Single Day Lockout. Defined as a period of up to twenty-four hours, beginning at booked start time and going no later than 8:00 AM the following the last booked day. Includes up to twelve hours of recording/engineering time each day if using our staff. Additional daily staff hours may be purchased at a reduced rate. However, arrangements must be made in advance to be sure that staff is available for coverage. Break time is not included in computation of staff time used during a session. Consecutive days of lockout are contiguous around the clock, going no later than 8:00 AM of the day following the last booked day.

Weekly/Monthly Lockouts. Defined as a periods of seven consecutive and thirty consecutive days, respectively. Beginning at booked start time and going no later than 8:00 AM of the day following the last booked day. Includes up to twelve hours of recording/engineering time each day if using our staff. Additional daily staff hours may be purchased at a reduced rate. However, arrangements must be made in advance to be sure that staff is available for coverage. If you are providing your own engineer, you can go as long as you like. Break time is not included in computation of staff time used during a session. Consecutive days of lockout are contiguous around the clock, going no later than 8:00 AM of the day following the last booked day.
Because the nature of such productions requires mobilization of a large amount of equipment and a sizable staff, video and audio taping done on location are usually booked on a “day” rate basis. Because each project has different requirements, we will provide an individualized quote to suit the specific needs of the project. All bookings are subject to the Payment Policies noted below.
Our video suite is booked on an hourly or day rate basis. We will also consider work on a “project” basis for a fixed price. Please call to discuss your needs. All bookings are subject to the payment Policies noted below.
