Automatically Checking Wind Conditions

Got a nifty new example solution brewing in the labs that I think you’re going to like!

A friend of mine likes to fly remote control gliders. To figure out the best time to fly, he’s been manually consulting a couple web pages to see when the wind direction and other conditions are just right.

Well guess what, Anthracite can do that!

We check two different pages to see if the wind direction is within the particular range appropriate for that location, and if so, we send an e-mail with the current information. Once the process is setup and working, we automated it with a cron job to check every 20 minutes during daylight hours!
