A 4 year silence....

Well; not four years that much. We released ‘GUANTANAMO BABY’ on the web for you when Bush’s practices came out in the open. This track is still downloadable via PROTOCOLS/ARCHIVE.

Still, there was not much going on. The release of ‘INFINITY OF CHAOS’ had a great impact on myself and to road to that thing was fantastic, but very, very bumpy. I was forced to release my work via Transmission Records, as I worked there and was not allowed to release my album singlehanded.

I payed for everything, I directed the whole thing, with some great help from B.Leaf, Tinnitus, Alain Monod and Sascha Paeth. I was bankcrupt and broken and got into a burnout. The label then ditched me as an employee and wanted to take my album of the market but still keep it. I wou ld never be able to see a copy again. I was enraged, but after a courtcase I managed to obtain the rights to ‘INFINITY OF CHAOS’, but I paid a price. Now you’ll understand some songs better....

I had already been writing for a while, but with the case, I wrote everything off of me. I had a really shit time, but I then found the love of my life. My creative boost seemed to never end.

I decided to follow my own hunches and just try to create what I had seen. I have a very imaginary way of writing songs; I start out with the lyrics, and create a world around it. I knew that video could be a logical next step. Lyrics and intention have always been primary for me when writing.

As I then broadened the paradigm it seemed so logical; I created a story and wrote a book. A master-metaphore that encompasses everything that takes place on my album. Then, to that story I wrote a soundtrack; AQUA.

SPECULUM ANIMAE is a world that I created. You’re welcome to have a look.

Ciao,

Dr. No
