Belgrade Architecture

Despite the many wars and conquering that has ravaged Belgrade, the city still does have some beautiful architecture. My favorite buildings are of the Secessionist style, dating from around 1908. You can find most of these buildings along Knez Mihailova street, Krajka Petra, and Knez Miloša. Although considered a suburb by some, Zemun has charming narrow streets with more Austro-Hungarian style. Interspersed are some ugly Communist-era buildings.
