Health Science Technology at Hereford High School

Imagine being able to work in the Health Care filed.  Are you interested in becoming an X-Ray Technician, Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Pharmacist, Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist, Doctor, or any of the many careers in medicine?

Health Science Technology classes at Hereford High School is a great way for you to develop basic skills and to explore your interest.  Can you imagine obtaining an entry level medical certification and start working in the Health Care field while you are still in high school.  Many HSTE students actually are offered jobs as a direct result of the training they receive in the HSTE program.

Once enrolled in HSTE 2 classes, normally in their Junior or senior years, students will have the chance to obtain medical certification such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy and Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)

Local health care employers are interested in hiring students who have obtained a certification.  This type of employment will give you valuable experience for your future whether you plan to go on to a college or university, community college or you just plan on working right after high school.

Health Science Technology Education classes will help you decide if the Health Care field is right for you as well as teaching you a lot about the human body and how it works.

Health Science Technology Education is a great way for you to prepare for your future.
