Six Spokane Splash volleyball players have been selected for USAV High Performance training at various locations this summer. The High Performance program is a pipeline for USA National and Olympic teams.

Alexis Olgard was chosen as a mid-blocker for the USA Women's Junior National Team and will compete in the World Championships next month in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico. Olgard will continue to train in Spokane with her Splash U-18 National team prior to appearing in the Junior Olympics in Miami, Florida July 1-4, then train with her USA team in Chula Vista, CA prior to the World FIVB competition July 16-25th. Olgard, a Junior at Mead High School, was named as an alternate last year to the USA Women's Team.
