Founded on the proven International bloodlines of Naadirah by Aswan, blending the genes of horses bred at the famous European Studs of Marbach (Germany), Tersk (Russia), Janow Podlaski and Michalow (Poland), Crabbet Park (England) and El Zahraa (Egypt) as well as Ansata Arabian Stud, USA.
The Hawley Arabian Stud was founded with the purchase of Naadirah in 1969 and nearly 40 years on, the sense of privilege and joy at being one of the custodians of this most magnificent of creatures has not lessened - indeed, the opposite.
Each foaling season sees our hope and faith in the future renewed as the next generation of our unique family arrives to take its place in the world and in our hearts. Dedication and commitment to a breeding ethic which ignores trends and fads has sustained a programme unique in this country and throughout the rest of the world.
With continuing links to the immortal Nazeer through his famous sons, 'family' line breeding is maintained even when outcrossing for new vigour. Today, sons and daughters up to five generations removed can be found the length and breadth of Australia and New Zealand - each one fulfilling the dreams of those who care for them, just as our own continue to be fulfilled.
