Dr. Michael A. Beazely joined the School of Pharmacy at Waterloo University in 2008.  The Beazely lab is focused on understanding how growth factor receptors and G protein-coupled receptors modulate ion channels involved in excitatory neurotransmission, neuroprotective mechanisms, and neuronal development.  We also focus on intracellular signaling pathways downstream of GPCRs such as the 5-HT7 receptor and growth factor receptors such as the PDGF receptor.
