I have assembled hand formed & polished stoneware tiles into geometric compositions detailed with beads, shells, stones, fused glass, wire, coins, & metallic paints. Most of the tiles are beach pit fired in an ancient technique using hardwoods, seaweed, dung & sawdust- each element creating flashes of color and pattern. Other tiles are high-fire glazed. Each composition is designed, individually handmade, mounted, and framed by myself. Being primarily self-taught I've had the opportunity to develop a unique, original style that is reflective of my love of nature and ethnic art. They are a fusion of form and color, the beauty of things imperfect, the play of simple shape upon simple shape, creating contemporary, yet ancient elegance.  Decorative Tableware & Boxes Hand-built, high-fired, one-of-a-kind stoneware. Enhancements include wax resist glazing with porcelain painted details, beaded wood handles, and hand sculpted design elements. Each piece unique & signed. Food safe, hand wash.
