Yon -- (yon) adj. Yonder. Being at a distance but within sight. adv. In, to, or at that place: over there.

From the intricate details -- hither -- contained on the surface of a leaf to the grandeur of a lookout high above a pastoral valley -- yon, Bishop believes that there is much that God has given us to enjoy and to appreciate.

It is in the hither and yon that we are able to see the handiwork of the Creator.

These galleries show both a complete and factual representation of a full valley view but often times these are the views of all who pass by a familiar scene. Bishop seeks to develop a personal style which takes the time to examine the scene within the scene. A more abstract view of what is known and hence a more intimate view of a grand vista. Additionally, Bishop seeks to use both camera movements and selective focus to new impressionistic views of common scenes.
