Nicole Cooke won her 10th national RR title in Abergavenny on sat. With the MAXGEAR team car as support for the Vision 1 team and MAXGEAR women’s team they set of on the very undulating 80mile course. The hot and humid day saw lots of riders suffer on the climb which was tackled twice. With Cooke, Pooley and Armistead together on lap 2 the 3 of them started to watch each other. Nicole new she only had to watch and cover any attack from Pooley, which she did. It was interesting to watch from the team car right behind them and watch the fantastic ride by Nicole. She showed how cool she can be and why she is World, Olympic and National Champion.

The Maxgear women’s team had a hard race and managed to finish the race. Jackie , who has now moved to Vision 1 was seen working on the front of the peleton early in the race, even though she doesn’t like hills. Good luck to Jackie and how she can start her cycling career.
