FAQs

Q How do I place an order?

A Choose the meals you require from the Meals page and contact me using the details in
the
Contact us page where you can also download an order form.
Q Are your ingredients organic?

A Not necessarily. In the research I carried out I found that most parents were far more concerned that the meals didn’t contain additives, preservatives, starches, fillers, bulking agents, modifiers, thickening agents and the ingredients were fresh and good quality. There is an interesting article on organic and non organic ingredients on the netmums.com website. The BBC website has another article.
Q How do you ensure the quality of your meals?

A By freezing the cooked meals all the goodness is locked in, therefore there is no need for additives or preservatives.
Q How long can I freeze the meals for?

A Each meal has a Best Before date so you know how long you can keep them frozen.
Q Where do you buy your ingredients?

A I currently use supermarkets for the meat and a local wholesaler for the fruit and vegetables. However, I am always looking for local suppliers who are competitive in order to keep the onward prices as low as possible. I do aim to use local suppliers rather than supermarkets.
Q Where do you deliver to?

A In order to comply with the Food Standards Agency advice I have to ensure that the meals reach you in their frozen state. With that in mind, I restrict myself to a half-hour delivery time from East Garston in West Berkshire. Click here for a delivery map.

Although the produce will remain frozen for a lot longer as it is kept refrigerated, half an hour allows for any delays en route. A delivery charge of 30p a mile (return) is made to cover the cost of the journey. Alternatively you are more than welcome to collect. If you are not within the delivery time or cannot collect but would like to place an order please do
call or email and we’ll see if we can help.
Q How do I pay?

A Cash or cheque on delivery.
Q Do you accept credit cards?

A Not at the moment.
Q How are the meals packaged?

A In 25g, 50g or 100g plastic tubs. These are minimum weights so you may find that some meals have slightly more than others.  Each tub is labelled with the meal name, best before date, contact address, heating instructions, nutritional values and allergy information.
Q Do you use any unnatural ingredients in your meals?

A Absolutely not. This is one of the reasons I started to produce the meals for my own children.
Q Do you cater for special dietary needs?

A Yes. Our wide range of meals means that we can offer meals that are wheat (Gluten) and dairy free.
Q What Health and Safety measures do you take?

A Link to our health and safety policies.
