About Julie
As a mother of four young children I have spent many hours cooking and freezing baby food as ice-cubes when weaning. I work full time and as many mums and dads will appreciate although time can be scarce, it is still important to give children home cooked good quality, healthy foods. I want fresh ingredients for my children without losing the convenience of using pre-prepared meals.
Why WeanyMeals?
I enjoy cooking as a great way of relaxing after a busy day in the office or running round after babies and toddlers. To cook for my children knowing how much better it is for them is an added bonus.

I’ve friends who simply don’t have the time to cook regularly for their children. They find ‘freezing ice-cubes’ a real chore and always end up buying jars or mass produced supermarket frozen meals instead. So, I decided that as I thoroughly enjoy cooking for my children, why not extend the service further and sell to other busy parents too?

As parents, you will not only want to know that the meals are healthy, but also prepared in a
safe environment. I understand that I am providing food to a very vulnerable group of people and therefore follow strict guidelines with regards to food preparation and delivery. I have attended the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health accredited Foundation Food Hygiene course and am registered with and inspected by the Food Standards Agency.
Delivery
In order to comply with the Food Standards Agency advice I have to ensure that the meals reach you in their frozen state. With that in mind I restrict myself to a half-hour delivery time from East Garston in West Berkshire.

Although the produce will remain frozen for a lot longer as it is kept refrigerated half an hour allows for any delays en route. A delivery charge of 30p a mile (return) is made to cover the cost of the journey. Alternatively you are more than welcome to collect.
