Quilting and Craft Workshops

Lorne Hill Farm is a working farm and Caravan Club Certified Location.  The workshop is a hive of happy activity, only broken at lunchtime when everyone troops into the farmhouse next door for a delicious lunch in the Aga- warmed kitchen.

‘Traditional’ is the over-riding theme, with the aim of the workshops being a warm and friendly, non-competitive day in which to enjoy your craft and socialise with like-minded people.

Anne Ray, an experienced, prize-winning quilter, will be teaching the Beginners Workshops to be held once a month, and a ‘machine appliqué from the back’ workshop for more experienced quilters on Tuesday 18th April.

Pitch and Stitch sessions are held every other week. Bring along any sewing project you have and work on it in company – a great way to get advice and pitch ideas!  You may be completing the piece you started the week before, or working on a quilt you started when you were 15 and then ‘put away’ for a few years.

Workshop plus Pitch and Stitch.   With most workshops you start a project and are given guidance to complete it in your own time – but everyday life usually takes over and the unfinished project is buried in the back of a cupboard.   So, if you attend a Workshop and then a later Pitch and Stitch as a follow up, you will pay the special price of £35 for the two days.  So hopefully any projects started at Lorne Hill Farm are completed!
