Actually I should probably say “persuading.” Recently I was doing some thinking about the difference between coercion, persuasion and seduction.
Coercion is getting someone to do what you want. Persuasion is getting them to choose to do what you want. Seduction is getting them to want to do what you want.
Coercion only works on actions.
Persuasion works on thoughts and choices.
Seduction works on feeling.
In which case, this guy here was probably persuaded rather than seduced. He makes good point about political theater, or rather he makes good points about bad political theater and seems to have assumed that this was the only kind of political theater.
