Three Bachs and a king
Three Bachs and a King Trombone Quartet was created in 2007 on the campus of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and is comprised of Marissa Penner, Matt Walley, Craig Mathis, and John Sens, four undergraduate trombonists. The quartet is under the direction of Dr. Scott Anderson, Professor of Trombone and head of the brass department at UNL. Members of Three Bachs and a King share a love and passion for music as well as a desire and commitment to producing the best music possible. The group performs on recitals and for events in the Lincoln and Omaha area. Their wide variety of repertoire ranges from popular music to classical to romantic to jazz. Recent concerts have featured works by Paul McCartney, Flor Peeters, Eric Ewazen, Henri Tomasi, Frederick Handel, Joseph Haydn, The Manhattan Transfer, and Pierre Max DuBois. The quartet is available for full recitals, weddings, church services, ceremonies, as well as any public or private event.
