The Meninadanca Project
I would like to invite you to become part of an exciting new project we are setting up in Belo Horizonte which will change the lives of hundreds of girls in need of help.
We hope to provide a range of services for girls who have been victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse, ensuring they never feel their only option is to run away from home and onto the city streets.
We hope to do this this by offering medical assistance, counselling, therapy and friendship to girls who are in desperate need of someone to help and support them, as well dance classes, art workshops, family support and advocacy services.
We will be developing the project phase by phase, starting with a Meninadanca centre where girls, referred to us by projects working in the slums, can come and receive help and support relevant to their specific needs.
We are building up a group of core supporters who are giving a small amount monthly until we are able to launch this very special project which will make a real difference in the lives of some of Brazil’s most vulnerable children.
