Matnip’s World Wide Web Log (That’s long for blog)

God’s victories had or have nothing to do with circumstance.
There were and are only two things consistently in attendance:

God’s Presence and Man’s Obedience.

not strategy, not cunning, not numbers
not man’s understanding, not common sense
not lack of obstacles, not lack of fear
not qualified conduits, not perfect people

God’s Presence and Man’s Obedience.

not enthusiasm, not prior history
not total buy-in, not immediate pay-out
not a lack of suffering, injury, rejection, or guilt
not a fair fight, not an allegiance to family or friends
not an escape route, not a safety net, not a Plan B
not arms, not armor, not armies

God’s Presence and Man’s Obedience.

not a human supporter, not a zealous companion
not a load of encouragement, not a lack of complaints
not a clear-cut or clean-cut leader
not a promise of life, not a promise of death
not a sensation of enjoyment, not a sense of dread
not time to plan or prepare, not time to celebrate
not a finish line, not a winner’s circle
not a promise you’ll be remembered
not a guarantee you’ll be forgotten
not release from the past, not certainty of tomorrow
not a lack of past scars as reminders
not a lack of future scars as evidence

God’s Presence and Man’s Obedience.

God’s Victories
