Founded by the world reknowned BaPak Willem DeThouars, KunTao Silat DeThouars is a direct, effective, practical self defense art. American KunTao Silat is the expression of this art as taught by his senior student Maha Guru Steve Gartin. Classes are held in an a friendly, open, village style. We ‘play’ our art. Students often comment on the friendly nature of our school. But make no mistake about it’s practicality, as it was forged in a 500 year crucible of war.
