june, 2006 - murray grey members club website was launched

september 1, 2006 - review of site to optimise pages for quicker downloading was begun. this may mean that some images, photos and photo effects may not be as vivid as they were previously, and we may be able to discontinue the no-frills version of the site.

september 11, 2006 - a 43 page PDF version of the website is now available for download. unfortunately it is over 14MB in size and there are a few imperfections in it, but it does allow for a different and perhaps quicker means of viewing the content of the site. if the size of the download makes it difficult for you to obtain please contact us and we can arrange to send a CD version to you, (for a small donation).

september 14, 2006 - the no-frills version of the site is closed down

september 18, 2006 - we are working to produce a short promotional CD/DVD video that will be playable on TVs (and computers). We are looking for footage (in a digital format) of mobs of murray greys, picturesque views complete with murray greys and of people working with murray greys in yards and the like. If you think you may have something suitable please contact David.

october 12, 2006 - please note that the KATUNA.COM email address that some of you may have for the mgmc or for David, no longer works. Please use the mgmc email or the OZEMAIL address for those of you who have that.

february, 2007 - in ‘internet speak’ the club website has been moved to another server. This occurred without interruption to the site being available but it may be a little slow to load pages. We are monitoring this matter.

april 6, 2007 - one of the problems with  complex website like this is in keeping all the links up to date. We are working on it always. If you find any that are particularly annoying or important to you, just let us know.

june, 2007 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Murray Grey Members Club during our first 12 months. Notwithstanding the valuable service many of you believe the Murray Grey Members Club provides in promoting the Murray Grey breed - or the more than $20,000 sponsorship Alan and I raised for the MGBCS in the last twelve months, the MURRAY GREY MEMBERS CLUB continues to be SNUBBED by the MGBCS, which refuses to even provide a link to it from the MGBCS website. This situation is unlikely to change unless members of the MGBCS who see this for what it is, write to their directors and demand to know why.

July, 2007. - In response to the birthday message above, a link to the Members Club was provided on the MGBCS website, under OTHER LINKS prominently positioned amongst clothing stores and depression services. This placement will ensure that its range of Murray Grey technical information and services to members will remain invisible to members and future members alike. We have requested that it now be removed. It remains our view that this information and services deserved prominent exposure.

October, 2007 - There has been little updating of this site in the last few months - to be frank, the drought at Katuna, now into its seventh year, and the ongoing floundering of the Australian Murray Grey Society and the seeming antogonism to this site from some part and current directors of the society, make the expense and time involved in the upkeep of this site come into question. BUT, looking ahead to better times for the society and to the return of bountiful times on the land for many of us, Alan and I believe the site still plays a valuable role.

October 2007 - the members only section will shortly be updated with further ‘ideas for the future’ that may generate some discussion from society members.

July 2008 - After a period of low activity in the MGMC some features are being discontinued.
