A really beautiful GREY day!
The Victorian WEEKLY TIMES of September 13 reports on the beef payment changes being made by Cargill, one of the biggest beef processors in southern Australia. In their lead back page article, the Weekly Times states that “within 12 months producers, including grass finishers will be paid on weight, age, marble score, red meat yield, offal and meat Ph level”.
Harry Waddington from Cargill went on to say that “the present payment system was too subjective and would be replaced by objective mechanical measurement involving Meat Standards Australia technology...”
