Step 3: Selecting Music:
Music is the backbone of your project. It’s what will make it feel like magic.
Choosing music for your video is a crucial part of the final project.  Songs, artists, bands, and genres are all choices. Be as specific about the music you would like to include, as you wish. It is a good idea to choose between 15 and 20 pieces of music that might be useable.   Go through your material for inspiration.

Suggestions:
1. Music from childhood. Think about the music this person grew up with. Ask family and friends.
2. Family heritage music as well as music from places this person has traveled.
3. Go through his or her CD, album, tape or ipod to see what they’re listening to.
4. Songs shared between lovers.
5. Funny music, inside jokes or music that makes you think of this person or people.
6. Favorite holiday music.

You can give us a CD with  songs you want to include or you can give us a purchase list and we can acquire them for you for 1$ per song. This will be included in your final invoice.
If you give us a little background information, we can choose music that works with the video. Again, these are options, so feel free to add what you wish.

Step 4:   THE PRELIMINARY INTERVIEW
Now that you’ve chosen and organized the media you wish to include, it’s time to send it off to be made into a movie. The interview is an opportunity for us to answer any questions, address any concerns and talk to you about your vision.
The Interview Will Cover:
1. The schedule for project completion
2. Media selections
3. The subject(s) for the gift
4. Layout and design
5. Music selections
6. Estimate for project
As stated earlier, your level of involvement is up to you. Too busy for details? Understood. We can accommodate any project as long as we are given materials to work with.

Step 1: Choosing Media
Once you’ve made the decision to have a video created you can begin to prepare
for the preliminary interview. Don’t be nervous! This will be fun.
Listed below are suggestions for the different types of media that can be included
in your project. Going through old photographs, films, and videos is like a
scavenger hunt back in time. Choose as many photographs and video clips as you want.
If you have something else in mind that’s not on the list we will do our best
to accommodate you.
