Our Future on Earth depends on our actions TODAY...
EcoFILMFEST 2008
GreenMan speaks for humans on Earth
The GreenMan has been chosen to symbolize our connection and concern for the living earth and all living things. EarthTHRIVE Initiative has evolved from the EcoFILMFEST & EXPO and is dedicated to catalyzing a shift to humans living in harmony with each other and the earth.
While EcoFILMFEST & EXPO brings a rich collection of informative films and other media experiences, the current circumstances — Global Warming, Overfished sea populations, Loss of precious fresh water, Toxic and polluted air and water, General unawareness of the depletion of once abundant but finite resources — indicate a critical condition that demand more aggressive and responsible concerted action.
Our current projects include:
• A Touring Show on Endangered Species
• A book titled: EARTHLIFE — Distinguished or Extinguished?
• A Video Game: The Revenge of Gaia
EarthTHRIVE initiative is a program of International Humanities Center,
IHC, a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
Green Man is the Celtic husband man/caretaker of nature, the male counterpart of the Great Mother Goddess venerated since neolithic times. From earliest times, masculine deities were always associated with the Great Goddess, usually as her husband, brother or son. And in virtually all cultures this crop god's annual role was to die and be re-born.
