This is based in material developed in the 1990’s in various projects. It suggests ways in which you can structure some learning activities using learning platforms.

 

The theoretical basis of personalised learning/flexible learning/active learning.

This material was prepared for the UK TVEI programme.  Amongst other issues the programme supported the idea that students should take more responsibility for managing their own learning. This is the basis in psychological theory of the approach. It was written by Peter Tomlinson and Simon Kilner. It has become unavailable in print. Some time ago I asked Peter if he minded making the material available for online teacher education. Thank you. I will need to revisit this material when I have found the diagrams.
