What you will find here
The principal motive in publishing this homepage is to share my interest in matters of Theology. I’ve also thrown in some material of personal interest, but this is really to give you some background on who I am.
I was born in 1965, and my education culminated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Southampton University, UK. I embarked on career in as an engineering consultant, which has kept me occupied full time to date. I am a member of four professional engineering Institutions and I currently practice as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland, Australia. In contrast to all this ‘hard’ science and engineering, I spend much of my free time studying Theology (I am currently enrolled on a correspondence course with Moore Theological College, Sydney). When I got serious about this a couple of years ago, I was pleasantly surprised to find it an endless source of fascination, value and puzzlement. I have a personal interest because of my involvement with various churches (in UK, Hong Kong and Australia) all my life and I am constantly drawn to the issues of why people believe what they believe, and how that affects the way they live. I should also add that my professional life has benefited from learning the discipline of reading what the words actually say, whilst being mindful of our natural tendencies to project our own frames of reference onto what someone else has written.
