A few traveled over an hour and a half to take part in the school, and they helped cover positions on 2 days. Some took advantage of the fact that if you model, you get to sit in on the class for the day. Everyone was cooperative, especially with the parking situation at the resort. There were no parking spaces, actually, but no one was towed from the scene.
The teachers loved every one of these models, and there were rave reviews from the models, themselves. One couple took advantage of Hanson Fong’s wedding class and had their formal wedding portraits taken. (Seems they didn’t get formals from the photographer that they had hired for their wedding day).
Then, during the banquet, I received a standing ovation for all that effort! (BTW, it was one of my long range goals. Just, I never knew why or when that was going to happen).www.marshallphotography.net

But, if we wait a few hours the sun will raise the temperature by 10-15 degrees. Our morning ritual is that much more enjoyable when it feels like Spring.
That’s ice along the shore line.

A neighbor called to say that he was available to shovel our roof off. That was enough to get us up there for a midweek ski trip.
As we approached the Mass-NH border there was no sign of snow. An hour later and the snow on the side of the road was plowed as high as the speed limit signs! It took Jim 4 hours to get the heavy snow off of the roof.
This was Luke’s first road trip, and it was a success! Sure he barked, and we took more time at the rest stops, but he seemed pleased once we arrived at the ski shack.
The wide opened lens (f2.8) blurred the background into a soft painting.
Later in the day a mourning dove ate the pieces of suet that had dropped to the ground. No idea of what breed of dog, just a dog. Adoption, more so than raising a puppy. Something about the boys no longer needing their mother; the maternal nurturing has not waned. Remember when my arrival home brought great delight from the guys. Well, you will be greeted with great enthusiasm from the newest member of the Marshall household.
Jim saw a flyer at the fire station, photo copied it and brought it home. It said “6 month old yellow lab, for sale or barter.” I immediately called the owner, not knowing that Jim had already talked to him about his dog.
He had no name and is 7 months old, was totally out of control as he was jumping on the lap of the owner, feet pressing on the truck’s horn. He hopped from the cab of the truck, wrapping the owner in the leash. It had started raining and the dog is tugging to smell everything.
We invited them into the house, and asked if the dog could stay for the day. Sure it was ok, and the owner left to get the dog’s toys and bowl.
In the first hour, the dog settled down, once everything was sniffed and deemed non edible. He followed me into the office and laid down next me. Well, by the time the dog dish was delivered, we had decided he was home.
