The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. God by his Spirit wrote through the pens of men (2 Peter 1:21) the 66 books of the Bible so that we would have his perfect (Proverbs 30:5-6), holy and life-changing word (2 Timothy 3:16). Every believer should reverently study the Scriptures in order to be transformed by them (Psalm 119:97). The Bible is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, deeds, and opinions should be tried (Isaiah 8:20).
God
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God (Psalm 96:5). God is an infinite (Psalm 147:5), eternal Spirit (John 4:24) who is inexhaustibly glorious, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, obedience and love (Mark 12:30). God, not chance, is the Maker and Sovereign Ruler of all things (Jeremiah 10:11-12 & Ephians 1:11). This one god of the Bible has revealed himself in three distinct and equally divine persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19).
The Fall
We believe that Man was created holy, but willfully rebelled from his Maker. On account of this, all men are now enslaved sinners (Romans 5:19 & John 8:34) not by constraint, but by their depraved desires; being by nature incurably inclined to evil (Genesis 6:5). Therefore, apart from Christ, people are justly condemned to eternal ruin, without defense or excuse (Romans 3:19).
Regeneration
We believe that when Christ draws a sinner (John 6:44), he does so by giving them a new nature (Ezekial 36:26) which loves God and the truth of God (Acts 16:14). Apart from this rebirth no man will truly believe in Christ (1 Corinthians 2:14). Therefore, regeneration is necessary for salvation (John 3:3). the evidence of being born-again is a rejection of sin, faith in Christ, and obedience to God (1 John 3:9-10).
Justification
We believe that Christian Baptism is the immersion (John 3:23) in water of a believer (Galations 3:6-7 & Matthew 3:7-8), in the mane of the Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). This public act of worship is a solemn symbol of our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior. Beyond a symbol, it is an act of dedication, to die to sin and to live a holy life (Romans 6:4). In the Lord's Supper the disciples of Jesus are called to eat a sacred meal of bread and wine. Through remembrance this supper renews our live for: our dying Lord, his body the church (I Corinthians 11:29) and his return from heaven (Mark 14:25). Both baptism and the Lord's Supper are not to be rushed into, but preceded always by earnest self-examination and prayer (1 Corinthians 11:27-31).
Marriage
We believe that the only sexual relationship approved of in Scripture is between a man and a woman within the covenant of marriage (Leviticas 18:22 & 1 Corinthians 6:9). While men and women are of equal worth in the eyes of God (Genesis 1:27), they are given different roles in the word of God. A husband is to sacrificially serve his family, following Christ's example (Ephisions 5:23). He should lovingly lead them, especially in the practice of Christian religion (Ephians 6:4). The wife in turn is re respectfully submit to her husband as the church submits to Christ (Ephians 5:24). For their own sake (Nehemiah 13:26) and for the sake of their children (Deuteronomy 7:3-4), believers ought to marry believers (1 Corinthians 7:39). Only then will husband and wife joyfully fulfill their God-given roles in marriage and so provide a unified team for the raising of godly children (Mal 2:14-15).
The World to Come
We believe that the end is quickly approaching (1 Peter 4:7). On that awesome and awful day, Christ will descend from heaven and raise the dead to face final judgment (Revelation 20:11-15). There a righteous separation will take place (Matthew 13:49) and the wicked will be sentenced to endless punishment (Mark 9:48), and the righteous to endless joy (Matthew 25:21). In a renewed heavens and earth the redeemed will dwell separated forever from death, pain and sorrow, but united forever with their God (Revelation 21:3-4). O Lord come quickly (Revelation 22:20).
