Marc began studying classical and Latin guitar with Ron Galen as a hobby while working as a chemist in Berkeley, California in 1995. After moving to Corning, NY he studied privately with Argentinian classical guitarist Pablo Cohen (1997-2004). In 2004, Marc enrolled as a part time student at Mansfield University, Pennsylvania, completing the first two years of his Bachelors degree in guitar performance. During that time he was a member of the Mansfield University Guitar Quartet and studied with classical guitarist Matthew Slotkin. Marc is currently completing his Bachelors degree in musicology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he studies guitar with Douglas Reach. He has performed in masterclasses with David Russell and Rico Stover and attended the California Brazil Camp where he participated in choro classes taught by Mike Marshall.
He currently lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he performs regularly with flutist Amanda Mark and teaches guitar at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts.
