The Unique Destination

The religion is a combination of the their ancient practices and modern Hindi.  It is a part of their day to day life.  Offerings can be seen at the entrance to any store.  And the attitudes show in all of the people.

There is the excitement of Kuta, the natural beauty of the lake and gardens of Brutan, the volcano and crater lake at Batur, sacred Mt. Agung, the charm of the Monkeys, the history of some of the oldest of Earth’s cultures, Temples everywhere and entire villages of Artisans.  A king once decided that all artisans of one skill should live in the same village.  So now there are cities of stone carvers, painters, quilt makers, silversmiths, basket weavers, clothing manufacturers and wood carvers.  And Bali was again named the Number One Island in the World by Travel and Leisure magazine.

Donations to the Red Cross for Tsunami and Earthquake relief can be made to the Red Cross.  Please check out the Yogokarta Earthquake page.

All of the Wood Carvings are available.  We have imported everything on the small Wood Carvings Page.   See the selection of handcrafted Balinese jewelry on the Bali Silver page.  Denver friends are selling Indonesian items at www.batikncraft.com.
