Undaunted by rain, ice or cold, intrepid peace witnesses from Gwynedd Friends Meeting held a Peace Vigil on Monday night, March 19th. This day was the 4th anniversary of the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq, which has cost over 3000 US soldiers lives, an unknown number of physically disabled and approximately 50% returning to their families and loved ones with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The toll on Iraqi’s has never been officially kept by the U.S. government, but estimates range from 50,000 to over 100,000 killed, untold lives and dreams shattered. We hope our small effort will make just a few more people aware that we must seek peaceful solutions to all the world’s conflicts
