Limiting God?

The Lord continues to speak to me about one thing.  “Do not limit what I can do by what you can do.” It seems like every sermon, podcast, or ministry presentation I am at the Lord says the same thing. I went to the HYPE discipleship camp graduation on Sunday and their passion for a generation to know Christ was invigorating.  But they ended with dramatic rendition of Kirk Franklin’s “No Boundaries, No Limits”.  I also listened to a podcast by Darren Patrick on “leading the mission.”  He spoke from Jacob’s life and how our issue is one of control.  It was pretty easy to see how Jacob learned from his mother to take everything into his own hands.  He had an interesting take on Jacob’s ladder.  He said that for Jacob seeing the Lord at the top helped him realize, he’s not in control that the Lord is. I get it and see that if we want to control things ministry will look like what we can offer and we will spend ourselves doing it using God as a means to our ends.  Or we can be a part of the means towards God’s ends and spend our self in Him.

Any how I am trying to adjust my paradigm to pursuing the Lord’s ends and follow His lead and provision. Quite honestly I am not sure what that looks like, but I think there is an element of following where He is moving now, and moving where He has told us to go expecting Him to provide.  I am excited about God’s work in my heart. I know I haven’t been moving as quickly on some of my projects as you might hope for, but the Lord has my attention and is working on this pivotal thing in my life that may be key to me and you all leading this change in Malachi.
