Pray and Plan

I left the service in Indy and flew into Denver where I spent the night with Mark and Kerry Kellond.  I had breakfast with their family which is always a delight and headed off to Cadence HQ.  We drove up the I-70 out to Dylan where we meet in a Cabin so that we can be away from distractions.

For me the week was really good, but our first devotion was from Ron Wilson who spoke out of 2 Corinthians and on oddly enough, God’s Glory and how were are to be transformed to let His glory shine through us.  God has been working on my in my humility, not stealing His glory and knowing that as His creation, I give Him glory in the things I do to serve him.

It was a great week, because we talked about the future;) But more importantly we worked through all kinds of issues like health care, missionary care, financial software, vision development and release, training, policies etc etc. And we spend a good deal of time praying for each other and together for God’s glory to shine in dark places and be represented in Cadence’s ministry.

As a side note I drove down to Denver to meet with Marty McCarty for dinner.  He is the head of MCYM, God is really blessing their ministry.  They are possibly adding 17 new communities this year, which be exactly 17 more bases that will have youth ministry to military students that didn’t have it before at all.

On the way back I drove into a crazy Colorado snow storm.  The easy part was is going up the pass, the hard part is coming back down the other side with all the snow.  I drove slowly and slid most of the way down the pass.
