A ‘Serpents Tails’
Well after a great few days weather James McHaffie has finally red-pointed the Serpent’s Tail a new F8b in the Dinorwig Slate Quarries. The quarries have been heaving for the last couple of days with climbers, and whilst it is a poor excuse for retro bolting, the return to being a fashionable

Great news for north wales

One of the best parts of the re-equipping of the Slate quarries, as well as working on the new guide is that it has forced me to climb in area and on routes that i would have previously ignored or simply overlooked in the few years since I last really got to grips with the quarry.

Slate update
Well its been a busy month or so for me what with working on the guidebook and re-equipping. both have been working hand in hand as I re-bolt I can up date the new guide. It also allows me to inspect the routes and climbing line on at least a ab rope, if not also by returning to climb the line.
